Casual Game Reviews

What an eventful week! If you feel a bit stressed out or want something of a detraction, I have the medicine for you.  Here’s a few casual games to keep your mind at ease.

Delicious: Emily’s Tea Garden

Synopsis//  Emily is back, for the third time in this installment of the Delicious series.  Emily wants to realize her dream of owning a tea garden, but will the mean banker take more than her share from the loan?

Playing// Serve your custoemrs in a timely matter.   Prepare food, wait tables, and work the register all without a pair of gloves!  After every 5 days you will see an addition to your tea garden.

Verdict// Nice story to provide motivation to getting the garden done.  Lots of ..colorful.. characters and very nice graphic style, as usual, from the Delicious team.

+ Lots of delicious fun! Nice variety of environments. Not as difficult as previous Delicious titles.

Game rarely gets fast paced. A few wonky stereotypes.

Posh Boutique

Synopsis// Alicia’s grandmother leaves her with a line of fashion boutiques.  Will Alicia have what it takes to be a successful heir?

Playing// Click and drag customers to different stations and try to sell them the most expensive clothing.  In between days go one on one with VIP customers and help them realize their dream look by matching clothes to blurry images.

Verdict// Its very fun and a bit easy (which is never a bad thing!)  You can get through several levels in no time.  My mother finished the game in one night.

+ Fun minigames.  Easy gameplay.

- A bit too reminicent of Sally’s Saloon/Spa,  have to buy same upgrades over every level.  Levels look very similar…
